The residual current transformer is mainly used to detect all devices in the distribution circuit that pass through the core hole of the residual current transformer, the vector sum of the node currents, and transform them into the required signals according to the transformer ratio.
Residual current transformer is the key component of electric fire leakage detection and monitoring system and electromagnetic relay protection equipment, and its performance directly affects the reliability and stability of leakage protection and monitoring system.
When installing the residual current transformer, try to stay away from the phase lines of other circuits to avoid the influence of large current and strong magnetism. In TN-S, TN-C-S, TN-C and TT systems, the phase line and neutral line of the loop must pass through the through hole of the residual current transformer at the same time. The PE line must not pass through the through hole of the residual current transformer, and any center line of each circuit must not be mixed. In TN-C system, PE line and neutral line are the same, so residual current protection device cannot be used and residual current transformer is not recommended. TN-C system can be changed to TN-C-S system, and then residual current transformer can be installed. Specific reference can be made to the following drawings.
